This past Saturday your Marching Wildcats performed at Lucas Oil Stadium. That Saturday there were 10 bands at the State Final. Out of the 10 bands that performed the Jasper Marching wildcats placed 1st out of 10 bands. The band had one of the best performances they have ever had this season. The band works really well together which helped them have a great season. The band has mostly won music and general effect awards through out the season, plus other gold ratings which helped them advance to State Marching Band Finals. The last couple of days the band had been putting in a lot of hours into their practices just to make the whole show look amazing. On Saturday our marching wildcats were waiting in anticipation for the results they worked so hard for. After a long wait, the announcer came to second and first place it was between us and Goshen. The announcer said who had gotten second place and the Jasper marching wildcats went crazy. Everyone had tears of joy and was so happy to learn that we had won State Finals. This is the first time winning class B state finals, but we had won class A state in 1973 and it has been 39 years since and it was the 40th State Finals this year. The Marching Wildcats had a great season. Congratulations to the whole band and the Seniors of 2013 for making State Champions.
